10)SF6 Quality Analysis New
With the right SF6 measuring devices and their methods, the concentration of parameters such as SF6 volume fraction moisture concentration SO2, HF, H2S, CO, oil mist can be measured in various areas of application (low, medium and high-voltage switchgear, military radar systems as well as in medical technology and industry for irradiation, but also in voltage stabilisers of electron microscopes and X-ray equipment as well as in accelerators).
Why this course: By attending this course, you will learn which measuring device you should use for which area of application, as well as the corresponding measuring methods and what is particularly important when measuring moisture. You will consolidate and deepen what you have learnt with knowledge tests and receive a personalised certificate of attendance on successful completion.
Target group: Experienced operators of SF6-filled equipment, especially in the area of SF6 gas handling.
Former participants of SF6 certification training courses Interested parties who want to acquire expert knowledge about SF6 quality analysis.

In the second part, you will learn how to correctly interpret the results of the moisture measurement and what partial vapour pressure is all about. In this section, you will also learn about the relevant measurement methods for decomposition products, the procedure and suitable devices. You will then gain an insight into the basics of carrying out a gas measurement and what needs to be observed in order to achieve a correct measurement result. At the end of this second part, you will learn which measuring devices can be used to measure which parameters and what differences the devices have.

In Part 1, you will learn why analysing SF6 quality is important and get a general overview of the topic. Familiarise yourself with the current norms and standards for proper quality analysis and learn what is meant by volume percentage and how it affects the operational safety of switchgear. To conclude this first part, you will familiarise yourself with the measurement methods for determining the moisture concentration
